Application Program Interface
Terms of Access and Use
The Airport Information Hub (AIH) is a project to facilitate air travel during the COVID-19 pandemic by providing for the convenience of passengers aggregated information about COVID-19-related destination requirements, restrictions, and services – such as testing, quarantine, and vaccination. The information available through the AIH Application Program Interface (AIH API) is provided by airport participants (AIH Airport Participants) on a voluntary basis. While the AIH Airport Participants endeavor to provide the most up-to-date information, such information is being provided solely for the purposes of providing a tool of convenience in facilitating travel planning. Users are strongly advised to verify all information critical to any decision directly with the relevant government authorities. All information in the AIH API is publicly available and is offered through this project for non-commercial use only, at no charge to any user. Information available through the API and the terms of this agreement are subject to change without notice, so users are encouraged to check back frequently both prior to and during travel.
By accessing AIH API, you acknowledge the disclaimers below and you release and will hold harmless any AIH Airport Participant, its municipal sponsor or governing body or authority, and its officials, directors, officers, employees, contractors, vendors, and agents from any liability that may arise from your use of the AIH API. You further acknowledge that: (i) the AIH API may not be uninterrupted or error-free; (ii) viruses or other harmful applications may compromise the AIH API; (iii) AIH Airport Participants could not provide the AIH API without charge without the limited warranty, disclaimer, and limitation of liability specified in this agreement (collectively, Release Provisions), and it would require a substantial charge if any of these provisions were unenforceable, such free use of the AIH API by users constitutes material consideration for such Release Provisions; (iv) your use of the AIH API may be tracked for purposes of collecting data for further development and improvement of the AIH API (no login or personal information is required or collected); (v) this agreement grants no license, ownership, or interest in or transfer of title to any intellectual property made available through the AIH API or to the AIH API itself; and (v) users shall not seek to reproduce or convert the AIH API in any form or manner for any commercial, revenue-generating, illegal, or any other purpose not intended by this agreement.
USER AGREES THAT THE USE OF THE AHI API IS AT USER’S SOLE RISK. THE AIH API AND ANY PRODUCTS OR SERVICES PROVIDED ON OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE AIH API ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. ALL WARRANTIES, CONDITIONS, REPRESENTATIONS, INDEMNITIES, AND GUARANTEES WITH RESPECT TO THE CONTENT (INCLUDING THE ACCURACY OR ADEQUACY OF SUCH CONTENT) OR SERVICE AND THE OPERATION, CAPACITY, SPEED, FUNCTIONALITY, QUALIFICATIONS, OR CAPABILITIES OF THE AIH API, SERVICES, GOODS OR RESOURCES PROVIDED, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, ARISING BY LAW, CUSTOM, PRIOR ORAL OR WRITTEN STATEMENTS, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY WARRANTY OF SATISFACTORY QUALITY, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, ARE HEREBY OVERRIDDEN, EXCLUDED, AND DISCLAIMED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ALL RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY LOSS, INJURY, CLAIM, LIABILITY, OR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND ARISING OUT OF USE OF THE AIH API OR ACCESS TO THIRD PARTY LINKS, CONTENTS, OR WEBSITES IS HEREBY DISCLAIMED.
By submitting data or information for the AIH API, the AIH Airport Participant represents that it has endeavored to provide accurate, up-to-date information. As a condition to its continuing participation in the project, the AIH Participant Airport will make continuous good faith efforts to maintain, correct, and update the information as needed for the benefit of the AIH API project. The AIH Airport Participant is providing any data, information, or technical support for the AIH API project on a voluntary basis, at no cost to any other AIH Airport Participant or to any user of the AIH API. Any AIH Airport Participant may exit the project upon 30 days’ written notice to the other AIH Airport Participants. The remaining AIH Airport Participants will endeavor to remove any data or information provided by an exiting AIH Airport Participant but shall incur no liability or responsibility arising out of or related to the removal or nonremoval of such data or information from the AIH API. All AIH Airport Participants shall release and hold harmless the other participants for any responsibility, liability, or damages arising out of or relating to the participation in the AIH API project.
Access or use of the AIH API shall confer no ownership, interest, license, or permission in any intellectual property whatsoever in any user of the AIH API. Each AIH Airport Participant shall retain pre-existing ownership or interest in any intellectual property, such as names/logos or metadata, provided for the AIH API.
